A prayer vigil on the eve of Jimmy Creech's second church trial, will be held on Tuesday, November 16, from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm Bethany United Methodist Church 1268 Sanchez Street SF. In attendance will be some of the "Sacramento 67" who also face trial and judgment by the church for participating in a holy union last May in Sacramento. MONDAY, November 15

There will be a service of worship at Binkley Baptist Church, Chapel Hill, NC, on Monday, November 15, 7:00 p.m., sponsored by the Open and Affirming Covenant Group of United Church of Chapel Hill. Participants in the service will include Rev. Jimmy Creech, Rev. Jill Edens, the couple whose service they co-officiated at in April (Jim Raymer and Larry Ellis), and Barbara and Myles Walburn, who were part of the Soulforce 200 who went to Lynchburg, VA to meet with Jerry Falwell. WEDNESDAY, November 17

Park Slope United Methodist Church would like to invite you to participate in a prayer service in support of Jimmy Creech on Wednesday, November 17th at 7:30 pm. The trial would have begun that day and will be concluding on Thursday. During the evening we will view a video of Jimmy Creech preaching at PSUMC in October, 1998 following the Holy Union in Nebraska that first brought charges against him. This week the Rev. Jimmy Creech goes on trial within the United Methodist Church in Grand Island, Nebraska. He is charged with violating church policy by performing a holy union for two men. Rev. Creech faces the possibility of losing his credentials as a result of courageously supporting gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered relationships. As a community we will pray for and honor Rev. Creech. The service will include a special recognition of the love shared between all couples; gay and straight. All couples present will have the opportunity to celebrate their relationship and recommit vows to each other. PLEASE JOIN US!

The University United Methodist Church (UUMC), 1127 University Avenue, Madison, Wisconsin is showing its support of United Methodist minister, Reverend Jimmy Creech, during his trial in the United Methodist Church by holding two evening services of prayer, reflection and hope. Services will be held at 8:00 P.M. on both days of the trial. On November 17 the service will be held in its sanctuary.
